Night Plane Revealed at Gamescom 2026: A Flight Into the Heart of Horror

A Terrifying In-Flight Nightmare Is Coming to PC This Fall
Following the gameplay presentation of TANUKI: Pon’s Summer, FGS Live from Gamescom 2026 moved into much darker territory with Night Plane, a horror game set aboard a doomed passenger aircraft. The new trailer showed the terrifying situation awaiting players on board, with the game scheduled to arrive on PC in Fall 2026.
Welcome Aboard
Night Plane places players in the role of a flight attendant, but this is far from an ordinary working day.
The aircraft is already heading toward disaster, while something supernatural appears to be hiding among the passengers.
The player’s job is not simply to survive.
They must continue performing their duties while trying to determine who can be trusted and who may be something far more dangerous.
A Flight Attendant’s Worst Nightmare
The game combines a workplace simulator with psychological and supernatural horror.
Players are expected to perform normal duties such as:
Checking passengers
Serving people aboard the aircraft
Managing the cabin
Monitoring passengers
Making critical decisions
Surviving supernatural threats
The unusual combination creates a particularly unsettling situation.
You have responsibilities to fulfil — even while knowing that something is seriously wrong.
Something Is Hiding Among the Passengers
One of the central ideas behind Night Plane is uncertainty.
Not everyone aboard the aircraft is necessarily human.
Demons are hiding among innocent passengers, forcing the player to observe behaviour and make decisions about who should be allowed to remain on the plane.
That gives the game a strong investigative element.
A passenger who looks completely normal could potentially be the greatest threat on board.
Horror at 30,000 Feet
The aircraft itself provides a naturally claustrophobic environment.
There is nowhere to simply run outside.
There is no easy escape.
The player is surrounded by passengers, narrow corridors and the constant noise of the aircraft.
This creates a very different type of horror from games set in abandoned buildings or open environments.
The plane becomes a flying prison.
Your Decisions Matter
Night Plane appears to put considerable emphasis on decision-making.
Players must determine how to respond to suspicious passengers and potentially dangerous situations.
Making the wrong decision could have consequences for the entire aircraft.
That means observation and judgement may be just as important as traditional survival mechanics.
A Unique Horror Concept
The combination of:
flight attendant simulator + supernatural horror + investigation + survival
gives Night Plane a distinctive identity.
The game isn’t simply asking players to fight monsters.
Instead, it creates tension through uncertainty.
Who is dangerous?
Who is innocent?
And how long can the flight continue before everything falls apart?
Coming to PC in Fall 2026
Night Plane is scheduled to release on PC in Fall 2026.
A demo is currently available on Steam, allowing players to experience the concept before the full release.
The exact release date has not yet been announced.
Why Night Plane Is Worth Watching
Night Plane has one particularly strong advantage: its setting.
A passenger aircraft is already an enclosed environment, and turning it into a supernatural horror scenario creates immediate tension.
Add the responsibility of working as a flight attendant — while trying to identify demons hiding among ordinary passengers — and the concept becomes considerably more unusual.
It could appeal to fans of:
Psychological horror
Survival horror
Simulation games
Mystery games
Supernatural horror
Decision-driven experiences
