Could You See Us Working at Blizzard Entertainment? Meet the Twins Behind New Format
Two brothers, one shared ambition, and a passion for gaming, storytelling and creative media. We're Kamil and Dawid Prochazka, the twins behind New Format, and we have a question for the gaming community: Could you imagine us working at Blizzard Entertainment one day?
Two Brothers, One Creative Journey
We are twin brothers based in London, studying at the University of Westminster while developing creative projects in digital media, gaming and entertainment. Our journey has combined university education, entrepreneurship, content creation and practical work experience. We want to build careers where stories, audiences and technology come together.
Studying Film, Media and Production
Our academic path has taken us from Canterbury to London. Our interests include film and television production, broadcasting, digital journalism, studio operations and the ways entertainment businesses communicate with audiences. University study provides opportunities to develop research, collaboration, technical understanding and professional production skills.
New Format Limited: Developing Our Own Business
We are involved in running New Format Limited, a UK-based creative business and the platform behind NewFormat.shop. Through our projects we develop gaming and entertainment articles, website content, marketing ideas, digital publishing, brand identity and online business activities. Managing our own projects teaches organisation, decision-making, communication and responsibility.
Creative Projects Beyond Gaming
Our wider entrepreneurial interests also include Two Souls & Yin Yang. Working across several initiatives has helped us explore branding, digital business, audience relationships, collaboration and planning from different perspectives.
TwinStyle, YouTube and Twitch
We create and develop gaming content through online platforms including YouTube and Twitch, with interests in livestreaming, commentary, editing, community building and video production. These activities have encouraged us to learn about platform presentation, technical troubleshooting, content scheduling and communication with viewers.
Work Experience and Transferable Skills
Our working experience also includes hospitality and customer-facing environments, including kitchen, restaurant and front-of-house work. These roles call for teamwork, reliability, communication, time management and the ability to respond calmly to pressure. Although hospitality differs from game development, the foundations of good collaboration matter in every industry.
Why Blizzard Entertainment?
Blizzard's worlds inspire us because they combine artistic imagination with complex production. Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Overwatch and Hearthstone demonstrate the contributions of storytellers, artists, engineers, journalists, producers, community professionals and marketers. We are interested in how these disciplines work together to build global entertainment experiences.
Exploring WoW: Forever and Gaming Journalism
We have both received access to the World of Warcraft: Forever beta and are preparing editorial coverage based on our experiences, with plans for written features, gameplay observations, screenshots and possible video content. We want to distinguish independent player reporting from confirmed developer announcements and continue building an editorial portfolio around Blizzard's franchises.
Which Roles Interest Us?
Our career interests include gaming journalism and editorial content, community management, public relations, social media, marketing, video and broadcast production, gaming events, influencer relations and creative production coordination. We understand that each professional position has its own qualifications, portfolio standards and experience requirements; these are aspirations rather than claims of expertise in AAA game development.
What Could We Bring as Twins?
Working together has given us experience dividing responsibilities, comparing ideas and supporting one another through projects. That does not mean we expect to be hired together: we welcome individual opportunities based on our own abilities and growth. We would like to contribute to professional teams through creativity, organisation, communication and a willingness to learn.
Our Location and Professional Goals
We currently live in London and are continuing our university education. During the academic year, London-based or UK-compatible remote opportunities are especially practical; during university holidays, we are also interested in suitable experience elsewhere in Europe. Longer term, we hope to develop international entertainment careers, taking account of work authorisation, qualifications and the requirements of specific roles.
Our Question to the Community
Could you see Kamil and Dawid Prochazka working at Blizzard Entertainment? Would you be interested in seeing us contribute through journalism, community engagement, media production, events or other creative roles? Which skills should we strengthen next? We welcome constructive suggestions from developers, journalists, creators and other gamers.
Two Brothers. One Dream. Many Possibilities.
We're still developing our portfolios, gaining experience and learning from every project. Our future might take us into a major gaming studio, journalism, independent production or another part of the creative industry. What matters is continuing to build useful skills and create work we care about. Let us know what you think in the comments.
